We are expanding quickly and need dedicated bilingual (English/Vietnamese) professionals to join us as Medical Receptionists (Care Facilitators).

Position Overview: Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator)

This role is often the first contact a patient has with the ChenMed family. As a Care Facilitator, you serve as a patient advocate by delivering exceptional customer service, managing patient interactions, and providing administrative support. Your goal is to build trusting relationships with patients through every interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Interaction: Greet patients, check-in/out, schedule appointments, and conduct lobby checks for organization and cleanliness.
• Schedule Management: Serve as gatekeeper for PCP and specialist schedules, ensuring top 40 patients are scheduled every 13 days.
• Administrative Duties: Use computer systems to update patient information, print forms, respond to emails, and generate New Patient packets.
• Patient Outreach: Make “love” calls, send birthday and greeting cards to commemorate special occasions.
• Communication: Answer phones, take accurate messages, and relay information about clinical personnel to patients and staff.
• Insurance & Scheduling: Verify insurance, collect copays, and assist with follow-up and referral appointments.
• Patient Comfort & Advocacy: Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure their well-being.
• HEDIS & Reporting: Monitor and report on HEDIS needs, hospitalizations, and other health metrics.
• Customer Service & Issue Resolution: Distribute surveys during check-out and escalate issues if necessary for prompt resolution.
• Team Participation: Engage in daily and weekly huddles to share patient updates.
• Transportation Management: Oversee transportation logistics, including medication deliveries and scheduling Uber/Lyft rides for patients.

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
• Review patient details for accuracy and completeness.
• Transmit correspondence via mail, email, or fax.
• Perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of the manager.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Exceptional customer service and a genuine passion for serving others 😊
• Working knowledge of medical insurance and EMR systems 💻
• Understanding of ChenMed’s products, policies, and standards
• Proficiency in operating phones, computers, and basic IT systems
• Professional, courteous communication skills 🗣️

• Positive, professional attitude
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Willingness to travel up to 10% regionally
• Fluency in both English and Vietnamese (spoken and written) 🇻🇳🇬🇧

Education & Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required 🎓
• Graduation from a recognized Medical Assistant program preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical clinic or similar setting 🏥
• BLS for Healthcare Providers preferred

Compensation & Benefits

The pay range for this position is $14.30 - $20.42 per hour. Final salary depends on experience, education, location, and other factors. This role may also include bonuses or commissions.
