Position: Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator)

This role is often the first point of contact for our patients, serving as their advocate and providing top-tier customer service. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong dedication to service excellence and building trusting relationships with patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Interaction: Greet, check-in, check-out, and schedule appointments. Maintain lobby organization and cleanliness.
• Schedule Management: Serve as gatekeeper for PCP and specialist schedules, ensuring priority patients are scheduled every 13 days.
• Administrative Tasks: Use computer systems to update patient records, print forms, respond to emails, and generate new patient packets.
• Patient Engagement: Conduct “love” calls, send birthday and greeting cards for special occasions.
• Communication: Answer phones, take detailed messages, and relay information clearly about ChenMed staff.
• Insurance & Payments: Verify insurance, collect copays, and assist with scheduling follow-up services and referrals.
• Patient Escort: Escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• HEDIS & Reporting: Monitor HEDIS needs, report hospitalizations, and maintain visibility of patient care metrics.
• Customer Service & Satisfaction: Present surveys at checkout, handle escalations, and participate in daily huddles.
• Transportation Coordination: Manage transportation logistics, including Uber/Lyft rides and medication deliveries.

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
• Review patient data for accuracy and completeness.
• Transmit correspondence via mail, email, or fax.
• Perform other duties as assigned or modified by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for helping others 😊
• Knowledge of medical insurance and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Familiarity with ChenMed products, policies, and standards.
• Proficiency in phone operation, computers, and basic IT systems 💻📱
• Strong communication skills—verbal and written 💬
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent listening skills 🎧
• Professional attitude and positive demeanor 🌟
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel locally up to 10%.
• Fluency in both English and Vietnamese (written and spoken) 🇻🇳🇬🇧

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in a medical clinic or similar setting
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits

The hourly pay range is $14.30 - $20.42. Final compensation depends on experience, education, location, and other relevant factors. The position may also be eligible for bonuses or commissions.
