Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator) | Bilingual (English/Vietnamese) 🚑🌟

At ChenMed, the Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator) is often the first point of contact for our patients, serving as an advocate and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities 📋

  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients, check-in/out, schedule appointments, and ensure lobby organization and cleanliness.
  • Schedule Management: Act as gatekeeper for PCP and Specialist schedules, including maintaining Top 40 patient appointments every 13 days.
  • Administrative Support: Use computer systems to update patient info, print forms, respond to emails, and prepare New Patient packets.
  • Patient Engagement: Make "love" calls, send birthday and greeting cards to celebrate milestones.
  • Communication: Answer phones, take accurate messages, and relay information about clinical personnel to patients.
  • Insurance & Billing: Verify insurance details, collect copays, and assist with follow-up appointments and referrals.
  • Patient Comfort & Support: Escort patients to exam rooms ensuring their well-being and comfort.
  • HEDIS & Reporting: Monitor HEDIS needs and report hospitalizations like HITS census and ENS Ping.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Present customer service surveys and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in daily huddles to share updates on patient care.
  • Transportation Coordination: Manage driver lists, deliveries, and coordinate Uber/Lyft rides for patients.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate medical records.
  • Review and verify patient information for accuracy.
  • Transmit correspondence via mail, email, or fax.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications 🌟

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of medical insurance and EMR systems
  • Familiarity with ChenMed products, policies, and procedures
  • Proficiency with phones, computers, and basic IT tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening skills and attention to detail
  • Professional, positive attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% regionally
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Vietnamese

Educational & Experience Requirements 🎓

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical clinic or similar setting
  • Preferred: BLS certification for Healthcare Providers

Compensation & Benefits 💰

The hourly pay range for this position is $14.30 - $20.42. Final salary depends on experience, location, and other factors. Opportunities for bonuses or commissions may also be available.
