ChenMed Is Hiring A Medical Receptionist Bilingual

About the Role
The Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator) is often the first point of contact for our patients, serving as a patient advocate and delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves greeting patients, managing administrative tasks, and supporting the overall patient experience with kindness and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet, check-in, check-out, and schedule appointments, ensuring lobby organization and cleanliness.
- Schedule Management: Serve as gatekeeper for PCP and Specialist schedules, ensuring timely appointments for Top 40 patients every 13 days.
- System Management: Use computer programs to input new patient data, print forms, respond to emails, and generate patient packets. Ensure contact information accuracy.
- Patient Engagement: Make "love" calls, and send birthday and greeting cards for special occasions.
- Communication: Answer phone calls, take detailed messages, and relay information about clinical personnel.
- Insurance & Scheduling: Verify insurance, collect copays, and assist with follow-up and referral appointments.
- Patient Escort: Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure their comfort and well-being.
- HEDIS & Reporting: Act as HEDIS champion, monitor scheduled patient needs, and report hospitalizations and census data.
- Patient Feedback & Team Collaboration: Present customer service surveys, participate in daily huddles, and provide updates on patients.
- Logistics Coordination: Manage transportation elements like driver’s lists, medication deliveries, grocery deliveries, and ride scheduling (Uber/Lyft).
Other duties may include maintaining confidentiality, reviewing patient records, transmitting correspondence, and performing additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Exceptional customer service and passion for helping others 😊
- Knowledge of medical insurance and electronic medical records (EMR)
- Understanding of ChenMed’s products, services, policies, and procedures
- Proficiency with phones, computers, software, and basic IT systems 💻
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy 📋
- Outstanding verbal and written skills
- Excellent listening skills and a positive attitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Willingness to travel up to 10% regionally
- Fluency in both spoken and written English and Vietnamese
Educational & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred)
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical clinic or similar setting
- BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (preferred)
Compensation
The pay range is $14.30 - $20.42 per hour. Final salary depends on experience, education, location, and other factors. This role may qualify for bonuses or commissions.
