ChenMed Is Hiring A Medical Receptionist Bilingual

Join a transformative healthcare team dedicated to changing lives daily through exceptional service and innovation. We’re hiring a bilingual Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator) to be the welcoming first point of contact and patient advocate at ChenMed.

About the Role

The Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator) plays a vital role in delivering superior patient service by managing administrative tasks, scheduling, and providing caring support to our patients. Fluency in both English and Vietnamese (written and verbal) is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Interaction: Greet, check-in, check-out patients, and schedule appointments while maintaining lobby organization and cleanliness.
  • Schedule Management: Serve as the gatekeeper for PCP and Specialist schedules, ensuring top priority patients are scheduled every 13 days.
  • System Utilization: Use technology to add patient information, print forms, respond to emails, and manage new patient packets, ensuring accuracy in contact details.
  • Patient Engagement: Make “love” calls, send birthday and greeting cards to celebrate special events.
  • Communication: Answer calls, relay messages accurately, and inform patients about clinical personnel.
  • Insurance & Payments: Verify insurance, collect copays, and assist with follow-up and referral scheduling.
  • Patient Comfort & Support: Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure their well-being before they leave.
  • Quality & Compliance: Act as HEDIS champion by monitoring scheduled patient needs and reporting hospitalizations and census data.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Present surveys during check-out and escalate issues when necessary for immediate resolution.
  • Team Participation: Contribute to daily huddles providing updates on patient care.
  • Transportation Coordination: Manage driver lists, medication/grocery deliveries, Uber/Lyft rides, and address transportation challenges.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records and personal information.
  • Review and verify patient data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Transmit correspondence via mail, email, or fax.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent customer service and a passion for helping others
  • Working knowledge of medical insurance and EMR systems
  • Familiarity with ChenMed’s products, services, policies, and procedures
  • Proficiency with phones, computers, and basic IT systems
  • Professional and courteous communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reports and data entry
  • Strong verbal and written communication, with active listening skills
  • Positive, professional attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% regionally and locally
  • Fluency in both English and Vietnamese, oral and written

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduation from a recognized Medical Assistant program preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical clinic or similar environment required
  • BLS certification for Healthcare Providers preferred

Compensation & Benefits

The pay range for this position is $14.30 - $20.42 per hour. Final compensation depends on experience, education, location, and other factors. Eligible employees may also receive bonuses or commissions.
