Unlike most primary care providers, we’re expanding rapidly and looking for talented individuals to join our team. This role requires bilingual proficiency in English and Vietnamese, both written and verbal. 🗣️

Position Overview: Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator)

As one of the first contacts our patients encounter, the Care Facilitator plays a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and advocating for patients. You will check patients in and out, provide administrative support, and ensure every interaction builds trust and confidence. 🤝

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Interaction: Greet patients, check-in/out, schedule appointments, and maintain lobby organization and cleanliness.
• Schedule Management: Serve as gatekeeper for schedules, ensuring top priority patients are seen every 13 days.
• Data Entry & Communication: Utilize computer systems for updating patient information, printing forms, responding to emails, and generating new patient packets.
• Patient Engagement: Conduct “love” calls, send birthday and greeting cards to celebrate special occasions.
• Telephone Handling: Answer calls accurately, take messages, and direct communications appropriately.
• Insurance & Referral Assistance: Verify insurance, collect copays, and assist with scheduling follow-up and specialist appointments.
• Patient Comfort & Advocacy: Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure their wellbeing.
• HEDIS & Reporting: Act as HEDIS champion by monitoring scheduled patients and reporting on hospitalizations and census data.
• Customer Satisfaction: Present customer service surveys and escalate issues for immediate resolution.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in daily huddles to share patient updates.
• Transportation Coordination: Manage driver lists, medication and grocery deliveries, and coordinate Uber/Lyft rides for patients.

Additional Duties

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
• Review and verify patient data for accuracy and completeness.
• Handle correspondence via mail, email, or fax.
• Perform other duties as assigned or modified by management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Exceptional customer service and a passion for helping others 😊
• Working knowledge of medical insurance and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Familiarity with ChenMed products, services, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Proficient in operating phones, computers, and basic IT systems.
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with accurate reporting.
• Professional, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel up to 10% regionally.
• Fluency in both English and Vietnamese, written and spoken.

Education & Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from a recognized Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year working in a medical clinic or similar environment.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $14.3 - $20.42 per hour

The offered pay depends on experience, education, location, and other factors. This role may also include bonuses or commissions.
