As a rapidly expanding provider, we stand out from most primary care organizations and are looking for talented individuals to join our team. This role requires bilingual proficiency in English and Vietnamese, with fluent communication in both written and verbal formats.

Position Overview: Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator) 🌺

Our Care Facilitator is often the first touchpoint for patients, serving as an advocate and delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves checking patients in/out, providing administrative support, and building trusting relationships with patients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 📝

  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients, record information, check them in/out, schedule appointments, and maintain lobby organization and cleanliness.
  • Schedule Management: Serve as gatekeeper for PCP and Specialist schedules, ensuring top 40 patients are scheduled every 13 days.
  • System Utilization: Use computers to update patient info, print forms, respond to emails, and generate patient packets.
  • Patient Engagement: Make “love” calls, send birthday and greeting cards for special occasions.
  • Communication: Answer phones, take accurate messages, and relay information about clinical staff to patients.
  • Insurance & Appointments: Verify insurance, collect copays, and assist with follow-ups or referrals.
  • Patient Comfort: Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure their well-being.
  • HEDIS & Hospitalization Monitoring: Provide visibility of HEDIS needs, report hospitalizations, and related metrics.
  • Customer Service: Present satisfaction surveys during checkout and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Team Participation: Join daily/weekly huddles to share patient updates.
  • Transportation Coordination: Manage transportation needs, including scheduling Uber/Lyft rides and handling medication or grocery deliveries.

Additional Responsibilities 🔍

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and medical records securely.
  • Review and verify patient information for accuracy.
  • Transmit correspondence via mail, email, or fax.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or modified at the supervisor’s discretion.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 💡

  • Exceptional customer service and a passion for helping others.
  • Working knowledge of medical insurance, EMR systems, and ChenMed’s products/services.
  • Proficiency with phones, computers, and basic IT applications.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% regionally.
  • Fluent in both English and Vietnamese (spoken and written).

Education & Experience 💼

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical setting required.
  • Certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers preferred.

Compensation & Benefits 💸

Hourly Range: $14.30 – $20.42

The final salary depends on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and others. This position may be eligible for bonuses or commissions.
