ChenMed Is Hiring A Medical Receptionist Bilingual

About the Role: Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator)
The Medical Receptionist, also known as a Care Facilitator, is one of the first friendly faces patients see. Your role is vital in delivering outstanding customer service and fostering trust with our patients, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to check-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet, check-in/out patients, schedule appointments, and maintain lobby organization and cleanliness.
- Schedule Management: Serve as gatekeeper for PCP and Specialist schedules, ensuring Top 40 patients are scheduled every 13 days.
- Administrative Support: Use computer systems to update patient information, print forms, respond to emails, and generate New Patient packets.
- Patient Engagement: Conduct "love" calls, send birthday and greeting cards to celebrate special occasions.
- Communication: Answer phones, record messages, and clearly relay information about ChenMed’s clinical team.
- Insurance & Scheduling: Verify patient insurance, collect copays, and assist with follow-up or referral appointments.
- Patient Comfort: Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure their well-being.
- HEDIS & Monitoring: Act as a HEDIS champion, monitor hospitalizations, and report relevant data.
- Customer Service: Present surveys at check-out and escalate issues for immediate resolution.
- Team Participation: Engage in daily and weekly huddles to share patient updates.
- Transportation Coordination: Manage transportation needs including Uber/Lyft rides, medication, and grocery deliveries.
Additional duties include maintaining confidentiality, reviewing patient info for accuracy, transmitting correspondence, and supporting other assigned tasks as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for serving others 😊
- Working knowledge of medical insurance and electronic medical records (EMR)
- Familiarity with ChenMed products, services, standards, policies, and procedures
- Proficiency in operating phones, computers, and basic IT systems
- Excellent communication skills — professional and courteous
- Attention to detail for accurate reporting and data handling
- Strong listening skills and a positive attitude 👍
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% regionally
- Bilingual fluency in English and Vietnamese (spoken and written) 🗣️📝
Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from a recognized Medical Assistant program preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in a medical clinic or similar environment required
- BLS certification for Healthcare Providers preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $14.30 - $20.42 hourly. Final salary depends on experience, education, location, and other factors. The position may include bonuses or commissions.
