Position Overview: Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator)
We are seeking a bilingual (English/Vietnamese) Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator) who will serve as one of the first contacts for our patients, acting as their advocate and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves front desk responsibilities, administrative support, and building trusting relationships with patients.
Essential Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet, check-in, check-out, and schedule appointments while ensuring lobby organization and cleanliness.
- Schedule Management: Manage schedules for PCP and specialists, ensuring top priority patients are scheduled every 13 days.
- Data Entry & Communication: Use computer systems to update patient info, print forms, respond to emails, and generate patient packets.
- Patient Engagement: Conduct 'love' calls, send birthday and greeting cards to celebrate milestones.
- Telephone & Information Delivery: Answer phones, take accurate messages, and relay information clearly about ChenMed personnel.
- Insurance & Appointments: Verify insurance, collect copays, and assist with follow-ups and referrals.
- Patient Escort & Comfort: Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure their wellbeing before leaving.
- HEDIS & Reporting: Act as a HEDIS champion, monitor hospitalizations, and report on various metrics.
- Customer Satisfaction: Present service surveys and escalate issues for immediate resolution.
- Team Participation: Join daily and weekly huddles to share patient updates.
- Transportation Coordination: Manage driver lists, medication and grocery deliveries, and coordinate Uber/Lyft rides for patients.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain patients’ confidentiality and review records for accuracy.
- Transmit correspondence via mail, email, or fax.
- Perform other duties as assigned or modified by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Exceptional customer service orientation ❤️
- Knowledge of medical insurance & EMR systems 🖥️
- Strong understanding of ChenMed’s products, services, policies, and procedures 📋
- Proficient in operating phones, computers, and software (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills 🗣️✉️
- Outstanding listening skills 👂
- Positive, professional attitude and detail-oriented approach ✅
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% regionally 🚗
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese (written and verbal) 🗣️🇻🇳
Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent 🎓
- Preferably graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant program 🎓
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical clinic or similar environment 🏥
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred ❤️
Compensation & Benefits
The hourly pay range is $14.30 - $20.42. Final compensation depends on experience, education, location, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonuses or commissions.
