About the Role
We’re seeking a Bilingual Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator) to be the welcoming first point of contact for our patients at ChenMed. Key Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients, check-in/out, schedule appointments, and ensure the lobby remains organized and clean.
- Schedule Management: Serve as the gatekeeper for PCP and specialist schedules, ensuring Top 40 patients are scheduled every 13 days.
- Administrative Support: Use computer systems to manage patient information, print forms, respond to emails, and prepare new patient packets.
- Patient Engagement: Conduct “love” calls, send birthday and greeting cards to celebrate special occasions.
- Communication: Answer phone calls, relay messages accurately, and provide clear information to patients about ChenMed staff.
- Insurance and Scheduling: Verify insurance, collect copays, and assist with follow-up and specialist appointment scheduling.
- Patient Comfort: Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure their wellbeing during visits.
- Quality Initiatives: Act as a HEDIS champion and report on hospitalizations and related metrics.
- Customer Feedback: Present surveys during checkout and address escalations for immediate service recovery.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in daily/weekly huddles to update on patient-related matters.
- Transportation Management: Coordinate driver’s lists, medication and grocery deliveries, and Uber/Lyft rides for patients.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and records.
- Review and ensure accuracy of patient and appointment data.
- Transmit correspondence via mail, email, or fax.
- Perform other duties as needed, as directed by management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Exceptional customer service skills ❤️
- Knowledge of medical insurance and EMR systems
- Understanding of ChenMed’s products, policies, and standards
- Proficiency with phones, computers, and basic IT systems
- Professional communication and courteous manners
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Strong verbal and written skills ✍️
- Excellent listening skills
- Positive, professional attitude 😊
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Willingness to travel up to 10% regionally
- Fluency in both English and Vietnamese (spoken and written) 🗣️
Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent 🎓
- Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical clinic or similar setting
- BLS certification for Healthcare Providers is a plus
Compensation
The hourly pay range for this role is $14.30 - $20.42. Final compensation depends on experience, education, location, and other factors. This position may be eligible for bonuses or commissions.
