About the Role
The Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator) is a key first contact for our patients, serving as a patient advocate and delivering top-tier customer service. This role involves greeting patients, managing schedules, and supporting administrative functions to ensure a smooth clinic experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet, check-in, check-out, and schedule appointments, ensuring lobby organization and cleanliness.
- Scheduling: Manage PCP and Specialist schedules, with specific focus on Top 40 patients every 13 days.
- Administrative Support: Use computers to add patient info, print forms, respond to emails, and prepare New Patient packets; verify insurance and collect copays.
- Communication & Outreach: Make “love” calls, send birthday and greeting cards for special occasions.
- Patient Escorting: Escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- HEDIS & Reporting: Support HEDIS initiatives and report hospitalizations and census data.
- Customer Service & Follow-up: Present satisfaction surveys, handle escalations, participate in daily huddles.
- Transportation Coordination: Manage driver lists, medication and grocery deliveries, and Uber/Lyft scheduling for patients.
Other duties include maintaining patient confidentiality, reviewing data accuracy, transmitting correspondence, and performing additional tasks as needed. 🚀
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills 😊
- Familiarity with medical insurance and EMR systems
- Understanding of ChenMed’s products, policies, and procedures
- Proficiency with phones, computers, and basic IT systems
- Professional and courteous communication skills
- Attention to detail and report accuracy
- Strong listening and verbal/written communication skills
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Willingness to travel up to 10% regionally
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese (spoken and written) 🗣️
Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- At least 1 year of medical clinic experience required
- BLS certification for Healthcare Providers is a plus
Compensation
Hourly Range: $14.30 - $20.42
The pay range reflects base hourly wages or full-time annual salary. Final compensation depends on experience, education, location, and other factors. This position may also be eligible for bonuses or commissions. 💰
