Video Interpreter Responsibilities

• Provide effective video remote interpreting services to patients and medical staff.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined by Stratus Video.
• Maintain professional behavior at all times, including punctuality, preparedness, respectful collaboration, and accurate record-keeping.
• Participate in ongoing quality assurance and call monitoring programs.

Spoken Language Qualifications

• Fluent in both the source and target language (e.g., Mandarin-to-English, English-to-Mandarin, or Vietnamese).
• Possess 1-5 years of medical interpreting experience.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and a passion for customer service and interpreting.
• Respect and understanding of LEP clients, including awareness of cultural, dialect, and belief differences related to healthcare.
• Extensive knowledge of ethical standards and practice guidelines (IMIA, NBCMI, NCIHC).
• Familiarity with medical privacy laws (HIPAA) and other applicable federal and state regulations.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Scale: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour*
*Rate is subjective based on experience, training, education, and location, and may vary outside this range.
