New York Health Is Hiring A Medical Front Desk Receptionist Bilingual

Location & Details

• Location: Staten Island, NY
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.5-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
• Organization: New York Health (NYH) - Urology

In This Role, You Will:

• Manage daily opening and closing procedures of the office
• Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and friendliness
• Assist in comforting patients and maintaining the reception area
• Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and schedule appointments
• Collect co-pays and balance daily office finances
• Assist patients with completing forms and necessary documentation
• Update and maintain patient records using the EMR system
• Build, monitor, and maintain physician schedules according to scheduling guidelines
• Distribute quality assurance surveys and prevention screenings
• Collaborate with the Care Team by monitoring and responding to messages
• Ensure all patients are scheduled appropriately by overseeing daily visit lists
• Protect patient privacy by adhering to HIPAA guidelines
• Support team efforts by seamlessly transitioning into related roles as needed
• Maintain daily office operations in accordance with policies and procedures
• Perform tasks for special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma with at least 2 years of patient-facing reception experience
• Fluency in English and Russian
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to accept direction and work collaboratively
• Strong customer service skills
• 1 year of EMR experience is a plus
