Job Description

About The Role
Every day, you'll meet donors who motivate you, and you'll contribute to collecting plasma that becomes life-changing medicines. A strong commitment to customer service and quality is essential. Reporting to the Plasma Center Manager, you'll perform as a plasma donor screener and assist with phlebotomy to support center operations.
How You Will Contribute
- Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on their safety and comfort.
- Screen new and repeat donors, record vital signs, and finger stick results.
- Use our Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, and maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate donor compensation and identify operational improvements.
- Work various shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, to support our donors.
What You Bring to Takeda
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to walk and/or stand throughout your shift.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
- Ability to lift up to 5 lbs., with occasional lifting of up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
- Fine motor skills, depth perception, and the ability to hear equipment from a distance.
- Prolonged glove wear due to potential bloodborne pathogen exposure (risk level 1).
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing or patient-facing role is helpful.

BioLife Compensation & Benefits Summary
We prioritize fair and transparent pay practices. Here are the details for our Bronx, NY location:
- Starting Hourly Wage: $21.00
- The actual wage complies with local minimum wage laws.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, short-term incentives, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time, holidays, and well-being programs.
- Eligible for up to 80 hours of sick leave annually, with new hires accruing up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
