Position Summary

We invite you to become a vital member of our healthcare team as a Supervisor, Medical Assistant at Levit Medical, Brooklyn. In this role, you will oversee daily clinic operations, support physicians and nurses, and supervise medical and patient care staff to ensure exceptional patient service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision & Operations: Oversee Medical Assistant staff and patient care activities at the Faculty Group Practice site.
  • Staff Management: Resolve employee issues, handle scheduling, attendance, sick leave, and manage timekeeping and payroll for direct reports.
  • Coordination & Coverage: Plan, coordinate, and schedule MA activities; serve as back-up for clinical duties; participate in interdisciplinary patient care planning.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Act as a liaison between clinical staff and physicians to ensure effective patient service; maintain positive working relationships.
  • Patient & Staff Support: Address physician concerns, ensure proper staffing to minimize delays, and foster cooperative relationships with administrative staff.
  • Policy & Training: Establish clinical office policies, train staff according to roles and expectations, and promote cross-training for coverage.
  • Compliance & Quality: Enforce adherence to policies and procedures (HIPAA, Compliance, HR), oversee QA activities, and monitor regulatory compliance.
  • Performance & Metrics: Develop staffing standards, training programs, and monitor performance and productivity metrics in collaboration with leadership.
  • Operational Initiatives: Support programs like MIPS and MyChart, optimize patient flow and access, and enforce safety and reporting standards.
  • Additional Duties: Ensure timely documentation (clinical in-baskets, open encounters) and support clinical quality initiatives.
