HeyTutor is partnering with a school district in New York to hire Spanish Bilingual Math tutors for middle school students. This is a fantastic opportunity to assist 6th-8th graders during and after school hours, helping them bridge learning gaps and succeed academically.

📝 Job Details

Location:

In-person at school district sites in New York

Students:

Middle school students in grades 6-8

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise groups of students independently during tutoring sessions
• Prepare the tutoring area for each session
• Coordinate pickup and drop-off for students at designated school locations
• Take attendance and run lessons via HeyTutor Dashboard
• Document student progress within the platform
• Facilitate assessments such as baseline and summative tests (as directed)
• Lead engaging tutoring sessions using provided curriculum and materials
• Create a positive and inclusive environment that students want to be part of
• Support positive behavior and meaningful interaction during lessons
• Log shift hours daily in Deputy system
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management or school site

Schedule:

Available weekdays between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

🎯 Requirements

• Spanish Bilingual proficiency
• Completed a bachelor's degree
• Experience in tutoring or working with kids
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
• Clean FBI-DOJ background check (provided through HeyTutor)

💰 Pay & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $32 - $38
Pay is determined based on education and experience during the interview process.
