Join our team as a Materials Handler and play a vital role in ensuring smooth medical supply operations to support patient care and safety.

Position Summary

The Materials Handler is responsible for delivering and replenishing medical and other supplies across user areas. You'll act as a key resource to nursing staff and others, ensuring supplies are accurately paralleled, restocked systematically, and documented properly in our materials management system. Additionally, you'll compile supplies per pick lists and fulfill supplemental requests to support ongoing operations.

Position Responsibilities 🎯

• Inventory, deliver, and replenish supplies in user areas up to established par levels.
• Ensure organized restocking of supplies in designated areas.
• Compile supplies based on the pick list.
• Fill supplemental supply requests as needed.
• Serve as a resource for nursing personnel and other team members.
• Restock patient/resident care areas with clean linen and deliver personal clothing items.
• Collect soiled linen when required.
• Maintain organization in the distribution area.
• Communicate supply-related issues promptly to the Manager.
• Accurately record all issued items into the materials management system.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications ✅

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in warehouse and receiving, preferably within a healthcare setting.
• Minimum of one year experience with inventory management and related systems.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Highly organized and capable of working under deadlines.

Physical Requirements 💪

Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. and push/pull weighted items with assistance from a manual pallet jack. Refer to the attached physical requirements sheet for detailed information.

Work Environment & Hazards ⚠️

• Potential injury risk from improper lifting or moving supplies. Follow proper techniques to mitigate hazards.
• Ability to work in both hot and cold environments.
