MariaDB is seeking a passionate Marketing Manager - EMEA (French or German Required) to lead regional marketing initiatives, driving opportunities and deal momentum across key markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. 🚀 The Opportunity

Join us to power applications used by billions! As the EMEA Regional Marketer, you will convert regional focus into opportunities, blending events, Account-Based Marketing (ABM), campaign orchestration, and AI-driven relationship marketing. You'll partner closely with sales, SDR, product marketing, and channel marketing teams to turn interest into committed evaluation and purchasing.

  • Region: EMEA (focus on UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Ukraine, UAE)
  • Segments: Enterprise and Mid-Market

🎯 What You'll Do

🔹 Regional Planning & Ownership

  • Develop and execute the EMEA field plan supporting MariaDB's strategic priorities, including enterprise modernization and MariaDB Cloud adoption.
  • Sequence initiatives across segments and verticals like financial services, retail/e-commerce, and telecom/media, aligned with sales goals and key accounts.
  • Manage the regional budget: sourcing vendors, negotiating sponsorships, and controlling expenses.

🔹 ABM & Account Orchestration

  • Partner with Sales to define tiered ABM strategies tailored to account profiles and buying committees.
  • Utilize intent data and signals for prioritization and personalized outreach at each account stage.

🔹 Events That Advance Deals

  • Plan and execute events like trade shows, executive dinners, roadshows, meetups, and virtual engagements.
  • Standardize pre-event activation, onsite engagement, and post-event follow-up to ensure deal advancement.

🔹 Modern B2B Programs

  • Leverage AI tools for predictive account selection, personalized content, and automated follow-ups.
  • Build buyer enablement resources, including content hubs, solution blueprints, ROI tools, and joint action plans.
  • Engage community and developer touchpoints (OSS meetups, user groups) to foster advocacy and pipeline growth.

🔹 Customer Evidence & Advocacy

  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to identify champions and develop compelling case studies and stories.
  • Create assets like slides, one-pagers, videos, and talk tracks, highlighting measurable outcomes and success stories.

🔹 Campaign Localization

  • Adapt global campaigns to regional contexts, customizing by vertical, persona, and ICP.
  • Work with PMM to translate technical value into compelling persona stories, proof points, and enablement assets.

🔹 Partner & Marketplace Collaboration

  • Align with partner and channel teams to synchronize field activities with partner programs.
  • Engage with hyperscalers, SI/ISV, and marketplace initiatives to amplify reach through co-hosted events, co-sell days, and joint content.

🔹 Sales & SDR Alignment

  • Conduct weekly meetings with RVPs and managers to maintain alignment.
  • Define clear handoff processes with SDR teams, including follow-up timelines and disposition management.

🔹 Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Be data-driven: track lead conversion, opportunity creation, pipeline stage progression, and program health.
  • Champion data cleanliness and attribution, iterate based on insights, and scale successful initiatives.

🧩 What You'll Bring

  • Experience owning regional/field marketing in EMEA, transforming plans into measurable pipeline through events, ABM, and campaigns.
  • Proficiency in ABM strategies: tier account prioritization, buying committee mapping, tailored programs, and close collaboration with Sales.
  • Strong analytical skills: attribution awareness, dashboard-driven reporting, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce, Marketo, ABM platforms, webinar tools, and AI-powered personalization.
  • Ability to differentiate decision makers from practitioners and communicate effectively across personas.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a collaborative approach, capable of executing quickly.
  • Highly organized, transparent, and disciplined in planning and process development (spreadsheets, JIRA/Confluence).
  • Fluent in French or German (required).

🗺️ Location & Hours

Remote in the UK or Hybrid in London, England. If hybrid, you’ll be expected to work in the office 2-3 days a week for close collaboration with the EMEA sales team.
