We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Language Interpreter to facilitate effective communication across diverse languages and industries. This role offers exciting growth opportunities and a dynamic work environment.

Employment Details

• Period of Employment: 12 months contract, renewable
• Working Hours: 8 hours daily with a 1-hour break, totaling 40 hours per week, including night shifts
• Work Schedule: Starts at any of 8 pm, 9 pm, 10 pm, 11 pm, or 12 am, rotating every 3 months

Compensation & Benefits 💰

• Salary: RM30/hour (minimum RM4,800/month based on 160 hours)
• Additional pay: Overtime, Socso, and EPF contributions
• Leave & Holidays: 14 days paid sick leave, 12 days annual leave, plus Malaysia & US public holidays
• Training: 3-week daytime training (Monday to Friday) with a training allowance

Job Responsibilities 🎯

As a Language Interpreter, your primary task will be to facilitate clear communication between parties speaking different languages. For example, during a live 911 call, you will:

• Accurately interpret conversations between the caller (native language) and emergency responders (English)
• Convey messages in the caller's preferred language, ensuring mutual understanding

This role operates remotely, requiring:

• A quiet, secure home office environment
• Most locations within Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and Cambodia are eligible
• Handling calls related to Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, and Business sectors

Job Requirements ✅

• Fluent in English (Read, Speak, Write)
• Fluent in native language (Read, Write, Speak)
• Ability to work from home with own mobile device (Android 12+/iOS 15+)
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (night shifts) within a 24-hour window, following client schedules
• Entitlement to 2 rotating days off per week
• Willingness to work on public holidays due to 24/7 operations
