Position: ECE - 2's Mandarin Teacher (2026-27 School Year)
The HudsonWay Immersion School New Jersey Campus is seeking a dedicated ECE - 2's Mandarin teacher for the upcoming school year, starting in Fall 2026. 🌟
Major Responsibilities
- Instruction & Classroom Management: Meets and instructs assigned classes at designated locations and times.
- Lesson Planning: Develops a program of study tailored to students' needs, differentiating instruction based on linguistic, cultural, academic backgrounds, and interests.
- Classroom Environment: Creates a safe, welcoming, and conducive learning environment appropriate for student maturity and interests.
- Behavior Standards: Encourages students to set and uphold classroom behavior standards.
- Curriculum Goals: Guides learning toward curriculum objectives, establishing clear goals for lessons, units, and projects, and communicating these to students.
- Instructional Strategies: Employs diverse teaching methods, including immersion techniques and media, tailored to location and student capabilities.
- Educational Philosophy: Strives to implement HWIS's philosophy of education through instruction and actions.
- Assessment & Reporting: Regularly assesses student progress, including linguistic benchmarks, and provides progress reports as needed.
- Student & Facility Safety: Takes necessary precautions to safeguard students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Other Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate, lawful records and reports.
- Assists administration in enforcing policies and rules related to student life and conduct.
- Remains accessible to students and parents for educational purposes.
- Engages in ongoing professional development and staff collaboration.
- Attends meetings, curriculum development sessions, and serves on committees as required.
- Encourages colleagues in professional growth initiatives.

Qualifications
- Native speaker of Mandarin
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in early childhood or elementary education
- Teacher certification in the relevant subject area preferred
- Equivalent qualifications as deemed appropriate by administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and classroom management abilities
- Proficiency in computer skills, including internet use, MS Office, and classroom technology
