📝 General Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Director of Educational Development, you will plan and facilitate beginner level Mandarin Chinese language sessions to foster student learning and growth.

💼 Major Duties

• 🤝 Meet regularly with the Director of Educational Development
• 🎯 Plan and facilitate group and/or 1:1 beginner Mandarin Chinese language instructional sessions
• 📝 Assist students in developing study skills, completing homework and projects, and exploring topics of interest
• 🔗 Maintain consistent communication with the Director of Educational Development
• 👥 Model appropriate academic and social behaviors
• 🔧 Perform other duties as assigned

🎓 Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 🌏 Ability to work effectively with students from diverse ethnic backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels
• 🤝 Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• 🛡️ Demonstrate responsibility, a desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility
• 📚 Knowledge of academic content and skills in Mandarin Chinese
• 🛠️ Apply knowledge and tools to help students access and understand learning material
• 📊 Ability to collect and analyze data to inform future instruction
• 🧠 Capable of working independently with critical thinking and problem-solving skills

🎓 Qualifications

Candidates must have extensive teaching and/or tutoring experience in Mandarin Chinese. 🎓
