Position Overview

The Manager Trainee role is designed as a long-term transitional opportunity, offering diverse work assignments and training aimed at preparing candidates for store management positions. Trainees will be cross-trained in all crew-level roles, developing proficiency to oversee and supervise these functions effectively.

Required Skills & Abilities 🌟

  • Preferably a Junior Executive in Food/Beverage/Restaurant Service or equivalent
  • Multilingual candidates are an advantage, especially for overseas assignments
  • Hardworking with strong professional dedication
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong teamwork spirit
  • Must obtain the California Food Handler Certificate

Physical Requirements 💪

  • Lift, carry, and serve items weighing 20-40 pounds over an 8-hour shift
  • Balance trays during food transfers
  • Stand and walk continuously for 6-8 hours
  • Bend, stoop, and reach for products and supplies
  • Work in varying temperatures, from refrigeration to cooking areas
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in work stations

Education & Qualifications 🎓

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field required
  • Relevant work experience is an advantage but not mandatory—training will be provided
  • California Food Handler Certificate required
  • Fluent in English; additional languages like Mandarin and Spanish are preferred

Duties & Responsibilities 📝

  • Participate in training across various departments including Service, Kitchen, and Support functions
  • Rotate through different roles to gain comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations
  • Learn from experienced team members to master methods, procedures, and standards
  • Progressively acquire skills to manage restaurant operations independently
  • Achieve and exceed performance goals set by management
  • Monitor personal performance regularly with supervisors
  • Set new career and performance goals upon completing initial training phases
  • Support various departments as needed
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned
