Your Role: Manager, Special Events Marketing

In this role, you will focus on marketing and advertising our exciting events at Petco Park, The Rady Shell, and EVE through multiple channels including social media, email, web, print, and more. You will collaborate closely with Padres marketing to support key business initiatives.

Your Responsibilities 🤝

  • Manage marketing campaigns for public events across social, web, and other channels
  • Oversee social media accounts to maximize engagement
  • Create and maintain detailed social media and marketing calendars for consistent promotion
  • Collaborate with the creative services team to develop promotional assets
  • Partner with clients to effectively market their events
  • Manage the PetcoParkEvents.com website
  • Build brand affinity, drive attendance, and generate revenue for the department
  • Work jointly with the Padres marketing team
  • Prepare and create marketing assets for venues
  • Manage photographers and videographers
  • Oversee client gifts and create compelling photo decks
  • Represent the Club professionally and positively at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Skills & Expertise 🌟

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with office equipment

  • Reliable and punctual attendance

Qualifications & Requirements ✅

  • Must be at least 18 years old by start date
  • Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Communications, Business, or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant marketing or advertising experience; sports experience not required
  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
  • Physical ability to access various areas of the ballpark and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Successful completion of all pre-employment screenings including background check

Compensation & Benefits 💰

Per California law, the hourly pay range for this role is $26.44 - $34.46. The position includes an incentivized plan that could exceed the base salary, contingent on goals achievement. Compensation will be determined based on experience, education, skills, and other relevant factors.
