We Are Hiring: Bilingual Manager, Regulatory Affairs

We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee our team of analysts focused on financial crime investigations, including anti-money laundering, fraud detection, and regulatory compliance. This role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to regulations, and enhancing your company's fraud prevention strategies with data and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of analysts specializing in anti-money laundering, fraud, and compliance efforts.
  • Manage complex investigations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and thoroughness.
  • Utilize analytics to identify trends, risks, and improve detection methods.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by translating legislation into actionable policies and practices.
  • Serve as primary liaison with law enforcement, regulators, and internal teams like Legal, Compliance, and Risk.
  • Enhance policies by adopting new technologies and industry best practices.
  • Report findings to senior leadership, regulatory bodies, and law enforcement.
  • Stay informed on global trends, regulatory changes, and technological advances in fraud prevention.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Criminal Justice, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Experience: 7+ years in financial crime investigations, fraud detection, compliance, or risk management.
  • Languages: Fluency (C1 level) in English and at least one of the following - Spanish, French, German, or Italian.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in data analysis tools like Looker, SQL, Excel, and transaction monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of AML, KYC, sanctions, and related laws.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Communication: Strong ability to present complex findings to diverse audiences.
  • Ethics: High standards of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with law enforcement or regulatory agencies on financial crime matters.
  • Knowledge of machine learning or AI tools for fraud detection and their regulatory aspects.
  • Certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist).
  • Ability to anticipate and adapt to evolving threats and compliance landscapes.

The annual salary for this role ranges from $124,500 to $186,500 plus equity and benefits. This position is remote, with pay determined by location, skills, and experience. Your recruiter will share specific details during hiring.
