Your Role: Manager, Event A/V Operations 🎛️📹

As a key member of our team, you'll oversee AV and control room operations for Petco Park events, including concerts, games, and other large-scale productions. Your leadership will ensure seamless, high-quality experiences for both ourスタッフ and clients.

Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Operation Oversight: Manage control room activities for Petco Park and Gallagher Square shows, serving as Technical Director for videoboards, LED ribbons, and routing feeds.
  • Event Planning & Setup: Lead technical planning and staging for park events and stage shows, with possible role as Technical Director during live productions.
  • Event Day Coordination: Collaborate with clients and team to preload graphics, videos, and AV elements.
  • Event Management: Handle various events such as high school baseball games, batting practices, and corporate functions.
  • Internal AV Requests: Execute requests across Auditoriums, Clubs, and Suites.
  • Team Collaboration: Train and work alongside part-time audio crews.
  • Technical Expertise: Operate Ross Acuity switchers, Xpression, Evertz Dreamcatcher, and other live production equipment; understand LED lighting cues and video processors.
  • Show Control & Editing: Load and operate Daktronics show control; edit videos using Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
  • Vendor Software & Social Media: Use third-party apps for fan engagement and social media displays.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with various production and entertainment staff to elevate Padres events.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership.

Required Knowledge & Skills 📚

  • Proficiency with MS Office and office equipment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional time management, organization, and multitasking abilities
  • Professional demeanor with integrity and accountability
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Qualifications & Experience ✅

  • At least 18 years old at start date
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education & experience
  • Minimum 4 years of AV management or technical experience in entertainment or broadcast
  • Expertise with Ross Acuity, Xpression, Evertz Dreamcatcher, and live production tools
  • Experience managing part-time staff and control room operations
  • Knowledge of live sports broadcasting and baseball is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
  • Physical ability to access various areas and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Successful completion of background checks and pre-employment requirements

Salary & Benefits 💰🎉

Base salary ranges from $75,000 to $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications, in accordance with California pay transparency laws.
