Acelero Learning Is Hiring A Manager Birth to Five Curriculum Development (Bilingual - English/Spanish)
Job Summary:The Manager of Birth to Five Curriculum Development is responsible for creating curriculum prototypes across learning domains, refining them based on input, preparing documentation - exemplars, checklists, and scope and sequence documents - to support curriculum authors, and managing authors' work to ensure consistently high quality. During field testing, this leader will provide training, feedback and observation, both in-person and virtual, to field test curriculum prototypes. In addition, they will maintain and troubleshoot existing curriculum. The Manager of Birth to Five Curriculum Development will work primarily with senior education leaders and curriculum authors, but also with individuals across local and central teams. This leader manages both people and time effectively, thrives in a fast- paced work environment, adapts quickly to change, maintains a clear vision, and is not tied to perfection.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develops rigorous, anti-bias curriculum prototypes across all learning domains birth to five
- Improves prototypes based on observations, input, learning results, and other data
- Constructs standards-aligned curriculum scope and sequence documents for specific domains
- Transforms tested prototypes into exemplar lessons, templates, and rubrics for mass production by contracted curriculum authors
- Provides both initial orientation and rubric-based ongoing feedback to contracted curriculum writers to ensure consistent, high-quality production
- Provides in-person support for logistics of field-testing lesson prototypes and instruction, assessment, and curriculum implementation
- Develops training materials for teachers and coaches and training, observation, feedback, and coaching to teachers and coaches to support implementation of instruction and assessment
- Collects and synthesizes formal and informal input from teachers and coaches
- Provides ongoing virtual and in-person support -- training, office hours, tool development to support successful implementation of curriculum and assessment
- Maintains and troubleshoots existing curriculum documents, including long-term plans
- Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required
Team Leadership
- Leads assigned department personnel, which may include providing oversight and input into hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, as well as ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and the completion of all work performed by team members
- Educates team members on all department and company policies and procedures
- Meets with team members regularly to identify and resolve problems, manage projects, track goals, and review work processes and procedures
- Represents team and/or department at meetings, events, and training as needed.
- Serving as an industry thought leader on early learning-related topics through conference presentations, articles, and professional or scientific publications
- Performs any and all other duties (or functions) as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or related field; master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Curriculum, Human Development or related field preferred.
- Experience in curriculum development for early childhood education programs preferred.
- Experience in educational product or program development preferred.
- Experience fostering and maintaining a collaborative team dynamic with a wide range of people and styles working together to set and achieve project goals.
- Experience working with both Early Head Start students or other infants and toddlers as well as Head Start students or other preschoolers is preferred.
- Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
- Travel required locally or long-distance up to 50% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
- Must have a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation.

Salary: $73,571 to $98,493 annually
