Key Responsibilities

• Audit Procedures: Plan and perform audits according to U.S. GAAS, PCAOB rules, and regulations for private and public companies using U.S. GAAP.
• Value-Added Services: Demonstrate the real value of the audit process to Japanese multinational corporate clients beyond regulatory compliance.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Apply SEC rules and regulations concerning financial reporting.
• Data Analytics: Use data analytics to deliver high-quality audit insights, adding value to clients’ business strategies.
• Risk and Evidence: Identify audit risks, obtain evidence, and generate unique insights for clients.
• Financial Analysis: Prepare, analyze, and verify financial statements, supporting financial planning and decision-making.
• Client Advisory: Provide clear accounting insights on complex issues, including revenue recognition, share-based compensation, and internal controls.
• Industry Insight: Understand client industries, key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical developments.
• Business Development: Cultivate long-term client relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Team Leadership: Manage and motivate diverse teams, monitor progress, and uphold quality standards.

Employment Details

• Type: Full-time (Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week)
• Working Hours: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's in the same fields with 4 years of experience.
• At least 2 years supervising audit planning, execution, and reporting per U.S. GAAS and GAAP.
• Minimum 2 years leading audit teams of two or more staff members.
• 4+ years auditing Japanese multinational corporations.
• Fluency in Japanese (written and oral); interviews conducted in Japanese.
• 1 year of experience with audit documentation software.
• Active US CPA certificate, or recognized foreign certificate with coursework/experience to qualify for US CPA.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 30%.
