Position Overview

Starting December 2024, The Leffell School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lower School Hebrew Teacher to engage and inspire young learners, foster strong communication with parents and colleagues, and contribute to our vibrant educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach Hebrew using a center/station-based approach with blended learning strategies.
• Engage students in learning beginning Hebrew conversation, Jewish holiday celebrations, weekly Torah portions, and Tefilah.
• Utilize a variety of activities and instructional methods, including songs, stories, media, structured games, art, and outdoor activities, to motivate and stimulate children's abilities.
• Select and implement instructional materials appropriate for students and learning activities.
• Encourage cooperative social behavior through games and group activities.
• Observe, evaluate, and document children’s social and academic progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required 🎓
• Master’s degree preferred 🎓
• 3-5 years of experience in the field
• Excellent communication skills 🗣️
• Native or near-native Hebrew language abilities 🗣️

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Rate: $60,000 - $70,000 💵
