Mercor, on behalf of a leading AI research lab, is seeking a dedicated Hebrew Linguistic Expert for a part-time role. This opportunity involves 10 hours per week of impactful work towards enhancing AI language systems by ensuring high-quality Hebrew language coverage, accuracy, and cultural relevance in Israel.

As a Linguistic Expert, you will collaborate closely with AI researchers and engineers to improve the understanding and generation of Hebrew in AI models. Your linguistic expertise will ensure that AI outputs are not only grammatically correct but also contextually relevant and culturally appropriate. This role combines linguistic analysis with hands-on evaluation, directly influencing the development of next-generation language AI.
📝 Responsibilities
- Review, evaluate, and annotate AI-generated text in Hebrew for accuracy, fluency, and cultural accuracy.
- Provide expert feedback on grammar, semantics, style, and tone.
- Develop guidelines and documentation to enhance consistency in AI outputs.
- Collaborate with researchers to identify language-specific challenges and edge cases.
- Suggest improvements for training datasets and linguistic rules.
🎓 Requirements
- Fluency in both English and Hebrew (native-level proficiency in Hebrew required).
- Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, semantics, and stylistics.
- Ability to identify and correct subtle linguistic and cultural nuances.
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Literature, or related field (advanced degrees are a plus).
- Prior experience in linguistic annotation, translation, or content review is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI, NLP, or language technologies is advantageous but not mandatory.
