We are seeking highly qualified language professionals with security clearance for a dynamic, travel-only role supporting government operations.

The Opportunity ✈️

CIAC is looking for TS/SCI Poly-cleared Chechen & Russian language experts to support government missions in Fairfax, VA. This role involves travel deployments lasting 4 to 8 weeks, followed by periods at home for the same duration, and then redeployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Translation: Precisely translate reports and texts, capturing nuances, implications, and abstract language in both electronic and hard-copy formats.
• Regional & Cultural Insights: Integrate geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural contexts into translations.
• Interpretation: Provide accurate consecutive interpretation; rare instances of simultaneous interpretation may occur. Possess regional dialect knowledge.
• Summarization: Identify and succinctly summarize factual points and abstract concepts.
• Computer & Web Skills: Utilize MS Office for reports and conduct web research effectively.
• Communication: Deliver clear verbal briefings in English.
• Transcription: Review audio and internet materials, transcribe with high fidelity, and prepare written reports.

Qualifications & Requirements ✅

• US Citizen
• Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
• Pass an advanced English proficiency test
• Score ILR Level 3 or higher in target language translation test
• Active passport and ability to deploy
• Minimum five (5) years of professional translation, transcribing, or interpreting experience
• Deep knowledge of target language regional geopolitics, culture, and ethnicities
• Proficient in MS Office and internet research

• Military experience
• Knowledge of regional dialects
• Consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation skills

Compensation & Benefits 💼

The salary range for this role is $86,600 - $181,800. Final pay depends on factors such as location, experience, skills, and education.
