Position Overview
Exovera is seeking a motivated Russian Linguist-Analyst to lead language-enabled research, analytical services, and forward-thinking insights on complex issues related to Russia. Our team works closely with government, defense, and private-sector clients, employing cutting-edge research, analysis, and data exploitation techniques, supported by a skilled cadre of linguist-analysts and software engineers. 🧠💻
Essential Job Duties
- Conduct Russian-language open-source research using online sources, academic publications, gray literature, and proprietary databases, both independently and as part of a team.
- Identify and collect data for analysis and prepare comprehensive finished reports.
- Write and edit analytic reports ranging from short briefs to in-depth monographs.
- Engage with senior clients to discuss project needs, explore opportunities, and deliver briefings on reports.
- Establish subject matter expertise in areas of analytic responsibility, including identifying key research items and potential new data sources.
- Collaborate with software developers to enhance collection and processing of Russian language documents and structured data.
Qualifications
- Active in-scope TS/SCI clearance.
- Deep expertise in Russian military strategy, doctrine, capabilities, science & technology development, and/or political systems.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Advanced Russian language skills equivalent to or above ILR 2+ level for reading and listening.
- Superior verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently, collaborate with teams, and lead small projects.
- Bachelor's degree in area studies, intelligence, political science, security studies, international relations, data science, computer science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Work Schedule: Hybrid model combining in-person and remote work with flexible hours and non-shift scheduling.
