Oakland University is seeking a passionate and dedicated (Special) Lecturer of Italian Language and Culture to join our faculty. We invite applicants committed to inclusive pedagogy and student-centered teaching to enrich our vibrant academic community. 🌍📚

Position Overview

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate students in Italian language courses spanning elementary to advanced levels, as well as courses on Italian culture, including literature, film, history, and contemporary issues.

We are looking for a dynamic educator who:

• Engages students with enthusiasm and inclusivity
• Demonstrates a commitment to intercultural and diverse pedagogies

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Italian, Italian Studies, Romance Languages, or a closely related field
• Native or near-native proficiency in Italian and English
• Proven experience teaching Italian at the university or secondary level
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
