Job Title: Lecturer in Arabic

Department: Arts and Sciences | Near Eastern and South Asian Languages and Cultures

Position Overview 🚀

The Department of Near Eastern and South Asian Languages and Cultures (NESA) is seeking to appoint one (1) 100% Lecturer (non-tenure track) position in Arabic culture beginning in the autumn semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal.

Performance Objectives 🎯

The successful candidate will teach eight (8) courses in Arabic culture, literature, and/or language, including in-person or online formats. Courses will be spread over two (2) semesters (Autumn & Spring), with participation in staff meetings and discussions required.

Education & Experience Requirements 🎓

• Required: Master’s degree in Arabic language or a related field.
• Preferred: High proficiency in both Arabic and English, proven excellence in college-level Arabic culture, literature, and language teaching, and experience utilizing technology to enhance learning.
