Position Overview

The Learning Center Support works alongside teachers, assisting students in classrooms, the Learning Center, and throughout the school. If you are compassionate, self-motivated, and enjoy working with children, we encourage you to apply! 🤝

Key Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and Learning Center interventionists in classrooms and throughout the school 🏫
• Support students with make-up work, classroom assignments, and tests 📝
• Provide one-on-one or small group support with lessons
• Read stories, listen to students read, and assist with writing ✍️📖
• Reinforce lessons and help with computer learning programs 💻
• Help students achieve academic goals and meet grade-level standards 🎯
• Communicate effectively with teachers and families
• Supervise students in playground, cafeteria, and crosswalks 🚸🏫

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and an AA degree or 72 college credits 🎓
• Ability to perform tasks involving standing, walking, using hands, talking, and hearing
• Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Employment contingent on a background check ✅
