🔹 Responsibilities of the Role

  • Facilitates or manages mid-to-large regional and global projects, including planning, execution, and transition phases.
  • Ensures project oversight, governance, and accurate status reporting.
  • Manages daily logistics, scope, and related tasks of assigned projects, negotiating authority to keep projects on track.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and defines stakeholder needs; translates these into functional requirements.
  • Establishes and manages project scope change procedures.
  • Anticipates potential problems or risks, proposing alternative solutions proactively.
  • Maintains all project documentation, including charters, work plans, timelines, issue/risk logs, and budgets.
  • Conducts process comparisons to identify improvements, providing recommendations and managing deliverables.
  • Offers subject matter expertise, guidance, and support for project design and organization.
  • Facilitates systematic improvements via project management best practices.
  • Trains and mentors junior staff to foster growth and development.
  • (Optional) Provides bilingual support with written and verbal translations in English and Japanese, as needed.

🔹 Requirements & Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience in localization project management.
  • Preferred familiarity with Waterfall and Scrum (Agile) project management methodologies.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and online project management tools such as SharePoint, Redmine, Jira/Confluence.
  • Specific understanding of department procedures may be required based on specialty.
  • Deep conceptual and practical knowledge within your job family, with basic knowledge of related areas.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management Certification is preferred.

Work Arrangement: This role is hybrid, based in Redmond, WA. Regular onsite presence is required according to division schedules. Not available for fully remote applicants.

Compensation & Benefits: The annual base salary ranges from $105,300 to $168,500. Employees may be eligible for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
