Position Overview 📋

We are actively hiring Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese) Medical Interpreters for in-person roles in hospitals and clinics in the Detroit Metro Area (Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Flint, Jackson). This is a contract/independent contractor opportunity.

Responsibilities ✅

• Provide precise Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese) ↔ English interpretation in medical environments
• Facilitate effective communication between healthcare providers and patients
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Adhere to National CLAS Standards and interpreter ethics
• Arrive punctually and uphold a professional demeanor
• Complete assignment details (time, mileage, notes) using our scheduling system

Qualifications 🎓

• Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese) and English
• Medical interpreter training or certification preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background checks for hospital assignments

Compensation & Benefits 💰

• Pay Range: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour (up to $45.00/hour depending on experience)
• Minimum of 2 hours per assignment
• Mileage reimbursement at $0.70/mile
• Flexible scheduling – select the assignments that fit your availability
• Priority scheduling for top-performing interpreters

Work Location 🚗

On the road, providing in-person interpretation services at various healthcare facilities in the Detroit Metro Area.
