Your Main Responsibilities

• Translation: Accurately translate reports and texts in both electronic and hard-copy formats, capturing facts, nuances, and abstract concepts while adhering to target language norms.
• Interpretation: Provide accurate consecutive interpretation; occasional simultaneous interpretation may be required. Must understand regional dialects.
• Transcription: Transcribe audio or internet materials with high accuracy, demonstrating excellent written English skills. Familiarity with regional dialects is a plus.

What Makes You Stand Out

• No security clearance required to apply; sponsorship and upgrading possible after passing tests.
• Must possess TS/SCI clearance with polygraph prior to start.
• Educational qualifications: BA/BS or equivalent military training with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 2–6 years of experience. Additional experience may substitute formal education.
• Mandatory: Pass a language test administered by LEIDOS or an accepted vendor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a linguist supporting contingency operations.
• Knowledge of U.S. intelligence, military, cryptologic, or law enforcement fields.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Target language and English, both orally and in writing.
• Proficiency in multiple languages highly desirable.

Travel Requirements ✈️

Travel outside the U.S. (OCONUS) is mandatory. Candidates must be available to support the contract 24/7 when traveling.
