Are You Our Next Linguist? 🌍

We are seeking a highly qualified Kurdish (Sorani) and Arabic Translator ready for new challenges. If you are an experienced linguist with skills in a broad range of tasks and able to excel in situations demanding professionalism and accuracy, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

• Translation: Convert reports and texts in electronic and hard-copy formats, capturing factual details, abstract concepts, and nuanced implications with precision. Ability to reflect geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements is essential.
• Interpretation: Perform accurate consecutive interpretation, with occasional requests for simultaneous interpretation. A strong understanding of regional dialects is required.
• Transcription: Review audio or online materials and transcribe with high accuracy, demonstrating excellent English writing skills and understanding regional dialects.

What Sets You Apart 🌟

• No security clearance required to apply; sponsorship provided after passing tests.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required—must be fully adjudicated before starting.
• Have a BA/BS degree or equivalent military training with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Pass a language proficiency test administered by Leidos or a recognized vendor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deployed in contingency operations as a linguist.
• Knowledge of U.S. Intelligence Community, military, cryptology, or law enforcement.
• Proficiency in multiple languages is highly desirable.
• Ability to support 24/7 operations during travel, including international assignments.

• Pay Range: $72,150.00 – $130,425.00
• Note: Compensation depends on responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal factors. The listed range is a guideline only.
• Overseas travel (OCONUS) is a requirement, with support available during travel.
