Position Details

• Availability: Must be available during students' instructional hours (no after-school or weekend classes)
• Position Title: Teacher - Foreign Language Secondary
• Terms of Employment: 10 Months
• FLSA Status: Exempt

📝 Position Summary

The successful candidate will integrate NCSSFL-ACTFL Can-Do Statements and course syllabi into weekly lessons, fostering an educational atmosphere that promotes effective student learning. This role reports directly to the Manager of Teacher Effectiveness and involves being part of an active teacher pool.

🚀 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Administer district curriculum aligned with NCSSFL-ACTFL Can-Do Statements.
• Conduct classes exclusively in the target language of instruction.
• Create and sustain a positive, academically focused learning environment.
• Develop and deliver effective lesson components.
• Analyze student progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Foster a classroom climate that encourages positive learning conditions.
• Ensure all students have supportive learning opportunities.
• Participate in additional job-related duties as assigned.

🎓 Position Requirements

Education and Training

• Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

Licenses and Certifications

• State-issued teaching license.
• Foreign language endorsement matching the teaching assignment.

💻 Technology Requirements

• Internet: Consumer-grade WiFi or wired connection.
• Speed: Minimum 15 MBPS download & 5 MBPS upload (check via speedtest.net).
• Computer: Processor ≥ 1.5 GHz, RAM ≥ 4GB, Windows 7/8/8.1/10 or Mac 2014+, no Chromebooks.
• Monitors: Laptop + external monitor or desktop + external monitor.
• Camera: HD webcam or standard webcam.
• Audio: Built-in, USB, or Bluetooth microphone/headset/speakers combo.
