Job Description 📋
Korean American Family Services (KFAM) is dedicated to empowering API immigrant families. We are seeking a bilingual Korean-speaking Case Manager to work under the supervision of our Mental Health Program Director. The role involves providing case management services for mental health counseling clients, along with some administrative support responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities 📝
- Provide case management and rehab services to support mental health clients, ensuring documentation complies with department standards
- Advocate on behalf of clients and their children with government agencies, schools, healthcare providers, and other service entities
- Connect clients to resources such as legal aid, housing, and more through referrals
- Respond to inquiries via phone and email regarding mental health services
- Complete admissions paperwork and prepare client files for therapy sessions
- Verify eligibility for benefits like DMH and medical insurance
- Assist in scheduling medication appointments with nurse practitioners
- Participate in outreach events to engage with the community
- Provide translation services as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications 🎓
- Bilingual in Korean
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and pay attention to details
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — a people person!
- Customer service or administrative support experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and willingness to drive as needed
