Leidos is looking for a dedicated Korean Instructor to support a critical national security mission. If you're passionate about language education, experienced in adult learning, and ready to make a difference, this full-time, in-person role is your opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause.

Key Responsibilities 🎯

• Deliver 3-5 hours of language instruction daily across proficiency levels ILR 0-3.
• Develop tailored instructional materials and training aids aligned with student learning objectives.
• Complete sponsor-provided training to become a certified language tester.
• Conduct 3-4 language proficiency assessments weekly post-certification.
• Use cultural immersion techniques to teach the language, integrating current events and cultural insights.
• Collaborate with senior instructors to uphold high standards and curriculum quality.

Minimum Qualifications ✅

• Bachelor's degree from a U.S. institution or the country where the target language is spoken — or equivalent experience.
• At least 3+ years of adult teaching experience, OR
• 8-12 years of relevant experience, OR
• Master’s degree with 6-10 years of experience.
• Proficiency in creating instructional materials tailored for adult learners.
• Familiarity with the ILR Scale, current events, and cultural developments in Korean.

Language Testing Requirements 📝

• Pass a Leidos-administered or approved commercial translation test (3 hours).
• Minimum passing scores:
  • English test: 90% or higher
  • Translation Test: 4 or higher
  • Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI): 5/5/5 (Speaking/Listening/Reading)

Security Clearance 🔒

• No clearance required to apply.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (must be fully adjudicated prior to start).
• We sponsor candidates after passing all required language assessments.
• Work begins only after clearance is fully approved.
