JTG is seeking a dedicated and experienced Korean Language Instructor to support a Defense Language Institute program in beautiful Monterey, California. If you have a passion for teaching and a knack for making language learning engaging and effective, we want to hear from you!

Position Overview

Location: Monterey, CA
Duration: 12 weeks

The successful candidate will develop and implement comprehensive educational plans focused on improving students' reading and listening skills through innovative use of authentic materials and student-centered teaching strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver intensive, student-focused language and cultural training for adult professionals in both group and one-on-one settings
• Create instructional materials and activities using multimedia resources in a digital format, applying a task-based, learner-centered approach
• Choose and incorporate level-appropriate resources from diverse materials to meet student needs
• Provide daily lessons emphasizing listening, reading, speaking, and cultural knowledge including geopolitical, economic, and social issues
• Utilize technology to enhance classroom engagement and homework assignments

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in second language teaching or a related field
• Minimum of two years of college-level teaching experience in the target language
• Proof of Oral Proficiency Level I
