Job Summary

Cornerstone Defense seeks a skilled individual with an active Secret or Top Secret clearance to provide interpretation and translation support for ROK military CWMD capability development. Our team conducts military capability studies and offers training, advising, and equipment services for a U.S. Government client, primarily operating out of Seoul with work throughout the ROK.

Interpretation services include consecutive (preferably simultaneous) interpretation during workshops, briefings, and engagements for audiences that can include general officers and civilian representatives from the ROK MND.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide translation and interpretation support: Support activities such as technical discussions, negotiations, training materials, exercises, working group meetings, site visits, and other relevant tasks as directed by the Project Officer or COR.
  • Maintain high-quality language support: Reflect abilities at a level equivalent to ILR Interpretation Performance for Advanced Professional Performance plus Level 4+ (see www.govtilr.org for description).
  • Follow instructions: Carefully adhere to DTRA's guidelines on document preparation and formatting as provided by the COR or Project Officer.
  • Ensure quality control: Guarantee translated materials accurately convey the content, tone, and nuances of complex, technical, idiomatic, and colloquial source texts.
  • Facilitate training and assessment: Some interpreters may assist in training engagements or translate classified materials as needed.
