Position Summary 🚀
We are looking for a bilingual (English/Korean) Finance Associate to assist with insurance portfolio management and credit risk analysis, primarily across North and Latin America. Your role will involve managing insurance policies, handling claims, working closely with internal teams and insurers to resolve complex risk matters, and conducting comprehensive financial and credit evaluations. If you possess strong analytical skills, solid finance and accounting knowledge, and proficiency in Excel, we encourage your application!
Key Duties and Responsibilities 🎯
Insurance Portfolio Management 🛡️
- Manage diverse insurance portfolios, including Trade Credit, Marine Cargo, Property, and Casualty policies.
- Review insurance policy documents and recommend risk management solutions to address complex business issues, collaborating with legal and business teams.
- Coordinate insurance claim processes and liaise with insurance companies to facilitate claim settlements.
Credit Analysis 📊
- Research and report on macroeconomic data for major countries in North and Latin America.
- Perform due diligence on potential and existing customers by analyzing credit information, financial statements, and payment histories; develop performance models for debtor accounts.
- Assess industry risks and business models to identify potential vulnerabilities.
Qualifications & Skills ✅
- 0-3 years of experience in financial credit analysis or risk management (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of technical finance and accounting concepts
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in Excel formulas and functions
- Self-motivated with outstanding interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Good business acumen
- Language skills: Bilingual in English and Korean mandatory
