Position Overview
We are seeking a Kindergarten Hebrew/Judaic Studies Associate Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The successful candidate will be a creative, nurturing, and reflective educator with a growth mindset. The position offers a competitive salary of $50,000 (commensurate with experience) along with benefits.

Responsibilities Include
- Support classroom routines: Work alongside the head teacher to foster a warm, nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and love for learning.
- Collaborate with the team: Participate in curricular planning, shaping classroom culture, community-building, special programs, and addressing student needs.
- Teach Hebrew: Conduct daily Hebrew classes for small groups of Heritage learners using Israeli stories, authentic texts, songs, and interactive games.
- Support student learning: Provide small group and individual instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Lead activities: Facilitate whole-group activities with support from the lead teacher.
- Foster social-emotional development: Contribute to a positive classroom community and support students' emotional well-being.
- Communicate: Maintain ongoing updates on student progress with the lead teacher.
- Participate in meetings: Attend weekly faculty, grade-level meetings, and other professional development opportunities.
- Supervisory duties: Oversee lunch, recess, and early arrival responsibilities.
Qualifications and Dispositions
- Fluent Hebrew speaker
- Bachelor's degree in education or actively working towards an advanced degree in education
- One to two years of experience working with children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to build meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Team collaboration: Successful function as part of a team
- Cultural competency: Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
- Strong work ethic: Quick to learn new skills and eager to grow professionally
