🌟 About the Role
Yavneh Hebrew Academy is seeking an energetic, ambitious, and reliable K–5 Teaching Assistant to join our General Studies team! This role is perfect for someone passionate about education, eager to grow professionally, and committed to making a difference in the lives of young students.
We value team players who are punctual, observant, and capable of understanding the broader classroom dynamics and school culture.
📝 What You’ll Do
- Support lead teachers in daily instruction and classroom management
- Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning
- Assist with classroom prep, transitions, and supervision
- Bring energy, curiosity, and initiative to every day
🙋♂️ Who You Are
- Passionate about working with children
- Eager to learn and grow in the field of education
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and flexible
- Comfortable balancing direction with independent problem-solving
🎓 Qualifications
- Experience with elementary-aged children (preferred)
- Interest in pursuing a career in education
- Bachelor’s degree or working toward one (preferred but not required)
- Skills in elementary classroom and behavior management
- Strong communication skills
- Emotional intelligence
- Patience, empathy, and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (preferred)
- First Aid and CPR certification (a plus)
