Job Summary
The Junior High Modern Language Teacher will cultivate a stimulating environment fostering meaningful communication in French and Spanish. Candidates should have a strong background in language instruction, with at least three years of diverse teaching experience, utilizing a communicative, proficiency-based approach rooted in cultural immersion and skill development.
Students will complete first-year courses in either Spanish or French, attending classes three times a week in 7th grade and four times a week in 8th grade.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The primary goal is to inspire students to communicate confidently in the target language. The teacher will:
- Create an engaging and supportive learning environment
- Implement communicative, proficiency-based teaching strategies
- Incorporate cultural learning and skill development into curriculum
- Guide students through language proficiency milestones in French and Spanish

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in French or Spanish (preferred)
- Proficiency in both languages
- Some Junior High teaching experience is preferred
