Bilingual Japanese Financial Analyst – Pan Asian Corporate Banking Department

Join a leading international bank as a bilingual Japanese Financial Analyst, supporting Relationship Managers in a dynamic environment. This role involves preparing credit applications, reviewing financial reports, and conducting comprehensive credit assessments of loans within the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis & Research: Analyze corporate borrowers’ performance, assess historical data, and project future cash flows and risk capital requirements.
• Documentation & Deal Structuring: Gather supporting documents, collaborate with middle and back office teams for KYC compliance, and draft pre-screen memos for the Credit Department.
• Loan Portfolio Management: Conduct quarterly and annual reviews of loans, manage internal grading procedures, and oversee monthly/quarterly reporting processes.
• Market & Sector Research: Perform research and analytics on specific sectors, regions, or loans, staying informed on current market trends.
• Ad Hoc Reporting: Generate customized reports for management as needed.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or equivalent.
• Experience: 1-2 years in a corporate bank or financial institution; internships in banking are a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; CFA Level I is advantageous.
• Language Skills: Business-level Japanese language skills are required.
