Job Description 🖥️

  • Proactive network monitoring and first-level support for network incidents during night shifts.
  • Collaborate proactively with Network Engineers and Cable Technicians to prevent network issues and restore services.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting, escalate issues to the network team within SLA, and maintain communication until resolution.
  • Configure network equipment and replace faulty hardware under guidance from the Network Team.
  • Participate as a buddy check for network engineers during night change windows.
  • Provide occasional extended hours support during high project seasons and site maintenance days.
  • Respond to incidents within the established SLA.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), generate reports upon request, update management systems, and communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Create daily pass-down reports.

Qualifications 🎓

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Network Help Desk or as a Network Technician.
  • Certifications such as Cisco Certified Technician (CCT), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Comp TIA A+.
  • Some experience with VLANs, subnetting, IP addresses, Ethernet and fiber optic cables, SSH, Telnet, traceroute, optical transceivers, hubs, and switches.
  • Must reside within 1 hour of north Austin, TX, due to SLA requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Strong teamwork and mentoring skills.
  • Deep sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to occasionally lift equipment up to 40 lbs.
  • Willingness to wear a complete cleanroom smock inside an electronic semiconductor facility when needed.

Preferred Qualifications ⭐

  • Additional certifications such as CCT, CCNA, or Comp TIA A+.
  • Experience with switch configuration, IP subnetting, and network troubleshooting.
  • Bilingual abilities in Korean.
