Job Description
As a Datacenter Semiconductor Infrastructure Technician (also known as a Data Center Facility Technician or IT Infrastructure Technician), you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the physical hardware, power, and cooling systems that support high-performance computing, AI, and cloud services.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate data center systems 24/7 in accordance with SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Rack, stack, install, configure, decommission, and replace servers and storage systems.
- Perform hardware diagnostics and component-level replacements such as drives, memory, power supplies, and NICs.
- Ensure equipment installation aligns with data center standards and best practices.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, OS, application, and network connectivity issues.
- Maintain accurate asset inventory records and system documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure integration within the data center.
- Conduct facility monitoring and visual checkups.
- Possess knowledge of power, cabling, low voltage, generator systems, and cooling facilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in data centers.
- Strong understanding of server, storage, and networking hardware (e.g., Dell/HP servers, EMC storage devices, Oracle Exadata, Smart PDUs).
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux and Windows.
- Experience working in mission-critical environments is preferred.
- Certifications in Linux, Windows, Storage, or Networking are advantageous.
- Capability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in confined spaces or at heights as needed.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or shifts based on project demands.
- Associate Degree or higher, or equivalent experience and certifications.
- Bilingual (Korean) skills are a plus but not mandatory.
